Octobowl

A self-standing chipboard bowl

Project Type 3D Computer Modeling | Laser Cutting | Product Design

Project Summary

For my digital modeling class project, we were assigned to create a functional chipboard object that could autonomously support itself using different components and without relying on adhesive materials such as glue. This task prompted me to think critically about design elements and structural integrity, pushing me to explore innovative solutions within digital modeling and product design. Using Autodesk Figma 360, I 3D modeled a levitating bowl that stands on 8 legs. After laser-cutting the multiple components onto chipboard, I assembled the Octobowl.
